Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, a prior appointment is required; we are unable to accommodate walk-in enquiries. You will also need to obtain an entry pass from the reception desk to gain entry to the building.

Is the building accessible?

Yes, our offices are on the Fifth Floor, which is accessible by lift from the main reception area.

How long does the assessment take?

We ask clients to allow approximately two hours for a full assessment and around forty-five minutes to an hour and a half (depending on the level of testing required) for an update.

How long does the feedback and report take?

Typically, feedback can be provided immediately following the assessment. The written report is usually two to three weeks later and is sent in PDF format to the email you provide us. The report can be produced faster if required.

Where is coaching delivered?

Coaching sessions can be provided in person at our offices (location WC1H 9JZ) or online.

Are the training courses listed on the website comprehensive?

It is best to discuss your training needs with us so we can advise you.

Do you only do assessments, coaching and training for dyslexia?

Despite the name of the Centre we do not just conduct assessments for dyslexia. Our approach is known as differential diagnosis which attempts to explain why someone finds particular activities difficult. We interpret the results of testing according to the problems being experienced in educational and workplace settings. Sometimes the diagnosis is not dyslexia, but dyspraxia, dyscalculia, and/or ADD/ADHD. Syndromes can co-occur, and the person being tested might meet the criteria of more than one syndrome.

Do you conduct online assessments?

Our assessments are conducted individually and in person, not online, because part of the testing involves seeing how people respond, and whether they rely on strategies for some tests.
